Write a Killing Marketing Plan That Works!

Here is the seven important points that make a successful Marketing Plan.

1. Purpose of Marketing?

Write down here why you are marketing your business in short sentence? Which kind of actions you will take for this? If they want to watch or see a sale video do you want them to watch a sales video? What do you want people to do? Will you send them any new update thru e-mail or allow you to receive emails from you? They can call you? Or ask you to call them?

2. Paybacks of doing business with you?

See it from the customer’s viewpoint. Because people will not invest until they make sure about profit for them. We know very well, every one want to gain profit with his/her money. Why should they do business with you? Give them a solid reason so they agree to invest with your company. What in it for the customer? What benefits do the customers get from your products or services?

3. Who is your target audience?

Define your target audience, specifically the more specific you can be, and the more money you can earn.

4. Marketing Channels you will use.

Here you have to explain what kind of marketing channels you will use to promote the business.Every channel you use as marketing for your business you have a chance to hit your target audience differently or hit new customers you have not reached yet through your traditional marketing strategies.

What marketing channels you will use or what channels do you plan on using?
Facebook?
Twitter?
Newspaper ads?
Banner ads?
Blogging?
Networking?
Traffic marketing?
YouTube?
Product placement?
etc…….

5. Your Position in the Market.

This is very important point, the first thing people will think of when they hear your name or the name of your company? What are you known for? Your company’s image.  What do you stand for? What is it quality of company? Is it generosity? Is your company having a sense of humor?

6. Your Identity.

Who you really are?  Your company’s character in public?  Not an image, not a logo, but who you truly are and what you truly stand for. Represented in form of a Brand or services. For example Amazon, Facebook, YouTube

7. Your marketing budget.

You have to tell your marketing budget as a percentage of your sale. In which percentage of your total sale or explain how many percent of your gross sale do you reinvest into marketing? Generally the average businesses in western countries reinvest 4-5% of sales for their marketing. We all know that the average business goes out of business in more than 90% of the cases. Prioritize your marketing or you too will go out of business.
